About the Ravager

Disposing of poultry mortalities on-farm is a constant challenge. Biosecurity, cost, labor, odors, and regulations all complicate the task and make it a burden for growers. Dehydration offers a practical solution using heat, airflow, and agitation to process deadstock quickly. It reduces disease risk and avoids many of the drawbacks of older methods.

What to Expect From the Ravager

We advise that you double-check the laws and limitations in your area to make sure you are in compliance with local restrictions. It is possible to turn your mortality into a beneficial product for your farm!

Increased Biosecurity

Dehydration halts disease spread by processing mortalities immediately on-site. Advanced thermal sterilization destroys pathogens at the source, producing a clean, dry by-product suitable for fertilizer.

Better for the Environment

No smoke, no runoff, no harmful emissions, only water vapor. Dehydration protects soil and groundwater and avoids the pitfalls of burial or incineration.

Faster

Works in hours, not weeks. One automated cycle processes up to 800 kg in about 24 -28 hours, keeping farms cleaner and safer year-round.

Cost‑Effective

Typical energy use is ~110 kWh per 450 kg. Reduce freezer storage, hauling, and rendering fees while lowering labor demands.

Ravager™ Features

Ravager™ is a simple on-farm system that processes mortalities in a single automated cycle without water, chemicals, or additives, producing a dry, stable by-product that can be safely reused.

Clever Lid Access Door

Hydraulic, full-width lid. Wide opening accepts a 152cm loader bucket for bulk loading; preset opening allows controlled unloading.

E‑Z Jac Foot

Retractable supports protect load cells and enable quick on-site leveling for accurate operation even on uneven ground.

Hy‑Dump Unloading

Hydraulic tilt empties the drum quickly and cleanly at any stage, eliminating shoveling and reducing biosecurity risks.

Pulvi‑Mix Rotor

Heavy-duty paddles with crusher blocks reduce bones to 2,5-3,8 cm pieces for thorough, uniform sterilization.

Dyna‑Vac Exhaust

Active blower removes steam during the cycle, releasing only clean water vapor. No smoke, low odor, no harmful emissions.

SmartCycle Controller

Built-in PLC automates heat, airflow, and mixing. Sensors track temperature, weight, and progress for push-button, repeatable performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? Here’s what most farmers ask us.

Capacity & Performance

Batch size, drying time, and effects of weather.

What’s the capacity of the Ravager™ dehydrator? How many birds can it process at once?

The Ravager™ poultry mortality dehydrator has a capacity of approximately 800 kg per batch.

The Ravager™ will dehydrate a full load in 24–28 hours.
No. Cold weather, heavy rain, or high humidity may require longer cycle times for dehydration.

Setup & Operation

Space needs, ease of use, upkeep, and dealer help.

How much space do I need to install the Ravager™?

The Ravager™ requires a concrete pad of approximately 4.9 × 4.9 metres with a roof for proper setup.
No. The Ravager™ is easy to operate and requires no special training.
The Ravager™ requires minimal maintenance. Regular tasks include monitoring hydraulic fluid, checking the condition of the machine and hoses, and greasing wear points.
es. We market through a national dealer network. Your local dealer is the first point of contact, and we’re always ready to support them with installation and service.

Safety, Regulations & Farm Impact

Odor, pests, rules, costs, by-product use, and biosecurity.

Does dehydration create any odor? If so, how is it managed?

The Ravager™ is not completely odor-free, but odor levels are low and generally unobjectionable when managed correctly.
No. The Ravager™ is a closed system while processing. We have not observed or received reports of scavengers or wildlife being attracted to the by-product.
Yes. The Ravager™ can be used safely, though most poultry mortality disposal operations are not recommended very close to homes due to odor concerns.
Yes. As regulators tighten rules on burial, incineration, and off-farm rendering, the Ravager™ is an excellent option that meets poultry mortality disposal requirements.
The up-front cost is usually higher, but operating costs are far less than incineration. We also expect the Ravager™’s lifespan to be much longer than an incinerator. The industry is moving away from burial and rendering due to biosecurity and groundwater concerns.
Yes. Dehydrated poultry meal from the Ravager™ can be land-applied as fertilizer. With further processing, such as milling to grind bones, it can also be used as a protein source in livestock feed rations.
Yes. Dehydration is a newer method of mortality disposal. Many people confuse a dehydrator with a composter or an incinerator, but the Ravager™ is neither.
We believe the Ravager™ offers one of the safest and most biosecure poultry mortality disposal methods available.
Yes. Some customers use the Ravager™ for small piglets, aquaculture mortality, and meat-processing waste. It works for small animals, though large bones can be a challenge.
